Wood County Records Contacts

Wood County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, post bond, release anyone, or obtain official booking records. Use the responsible public office or official locator for those questions.

Choose the Correct Custodian

Wood County's official Sheriff pages do not provide a public inmate roster, a recent-bookings feed, or a booking-photo gallery. The contact below is the records path for an existing Wood County booking record or a potentially releasable photo. It is separate from a live-custody question and from a court disposition.

  • Current custody or jail release: call the Wood County Jail at 715-421-8730. For eligible notification users, use VINELink. Neither route is a public booking-photo search.
  • Booking record or possible booking photo: send a focused request to Sheriff Admin Records, identifying the person, approximate date, and Wood County Jail when known. Ask whether any photograph is releasable.
  • Case outcome or court disposition: search Wisconsin Circuit Court Access, then contact the Wood County Clerk of Circuit Court, 400 Market Street or P.O. Box 8095, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495-8095, 715-421-8490, Wood.Clerk@wicourts.gov. The Clerk's weekday hours are 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Wisconsin DOC custody or community supervision: use the official WI DOC Person in Our Care / Offender Locator. It does not establish a recent Wood County booking.
  • Federal or immigration custody only: use the BOP inmate locator or ICE detainee locator only when that agency's custody is actually involved. They do not replace a county-jail inquiry.
